Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. A traditional vanilla flavored cake with hints of honey and spice! Its simple and down to earth, but don't let vanilla fool you. Its sweet simplicity is to die for topped off with a raspberry and strawberry whipped frosting that'll make your head spin!
I had a place for you, a place right next to me a place I sheltered with my heart. Your eyes, they had a steady hold on mine. My lips dried. My voice died. My head was so far gone. I twisted my fascination into your smile, I can't explain the way it hurt. An ache so violent and sudden. You were mine to hold, to kiss, to touch but you looked so good it hurt too much The panes of sunlight dripped across your face and the smiling became laughing, the holding became clenching, and the wanting became needing.... SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?" DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?" DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" We met in kindergarten. We were best friends. She always told me she loved my eyes. I didn’t quite know why. I was in love with her, so of course my face lit up immensely whenever she said it She was beautiful, kind, and extremely funny. We’d be talking about nothing, and she’d turn to me and whisper, “I like your eyes.” One day, I was playing basketball, waiting for her to drive over to my house to have a game with me. Suddenly, I got a phone call. It was her mom. She was in a panic. I couldn’t... Read more »
When I was waiting in line at the store with my Mom, a little girl pointed at me and whispered to her mom, "What are those scars from on her? And why doesn't she have as much hair as I do? What's that thing on her head?" The mom turned to her and said "Sophie, that girl is probably one of the strongest people you will meet. She has a disease and to cure it she has to take a form of medicine that makes her hair fall out. She's no different than me, or you. She's probably been through... Read more »

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and... Read more »
About ten years ago, a young and very successful executive named Josh was traveling down a Chicago neighborhood street. He was going a bit too fast in his sleek, black, 12 cylinder Jaguar XKE, which was only two months old. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no child darted out, but a brick sailed out and-WHUMP! — it smashed into the Jag’s shiny black side door! BRAKES SCREECHED…!!!! Brakes slammed! Gears ground into reverse, and tires madly spun the Jaguar back to... Read more »
Don’t listen to those who say, “It’s not done that way.” Maybe it’s not, but maybe you will. Don’t listen to those who say, “You’re taking too big a chance.” Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine floor, and it would surely be rubbed out by today. Most importantly, don’t listen when the little voice of fear inside of you rears its ugly head and says, “They’re all smarter than you out there. They’re more talented, they’re taller, blonder, prettier, luckier and have connections...” I firmly believe that if you follow a path that interests you, not to the exclusion of... Read more »
