Gratitude is one of the strongest positive feelings. We all have something to be grateful for. If you are grateful for everything that you have, you will get more things to feel gratitude for. And this feeling makes you feel good. "Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.

On this International Day for the Abolition of Slavery let us reaffirm the inherent dignity of all men, women and children. And let us redouble our efforts to build societies in which slavery truly is a term for the history books.
