To be truly happy one must accept the circumstances which they live in. You must understand that this is what's been so graciously given to you, things that you could lose in but the blink of an eye. As we grow up we learn that the people that weren’t supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You’ll have your heart broken and you’ll break others hearts. Something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.
If you observe really happy people you will find them painting, writing a poem or book, educating their children, growing double dahlias in their garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the Gobi desert. They will not be searching for happiness as if it were a collar button that has rolled under the radiator. They will not be striving for it as a goal in itself. They will have become aware that they are happy in the course of living life twenty-four crowded hours of the day.
