Just as a flower dies before the seeds for new flowers can be released, some experiences must end before the seeds for new experiences can be released. Appreciate what was, but know that great things will soon be.
Resolve to remain humble enough that every honest compliment or thank you is a surprise, received with appreciation. Resolve to remain hopeful enough that every disappointment is a surprise, received with acceptance from that person, but never extended to be expected from all people.
Do you remember being told as a child, "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game?" Well, that's just about the best advice for life that you can get. How do you play? You try your best. You are honest. If there's a foul you call foul even if people disagree. And no matter the odds against you, until that last buzzer sounds, you just don't give up. That's how you play the game.
"Fed up" is an uncomfortable place to be, but thankfully it's usually the best place a person can be in order to decide to make and commit to a big change for the better. So in a way, it's great to get fed up... just don't stay there.
